CLIMATE

Hobart and Glenorchy experience a very mild climate. In fact Hobart is considered to have the second lowest annual rainfall per capital city in Australia.

Depending on your interests, summer to autumn to spring have the most comfortable climate. During winter however, Hobart has a charm, beauty and vibrancy all of its own. You will enjoy the crisp air, snow capped mountains, skiing while avoiding the crowded venues and long queues often experienced in other seasons.

WINTER (June - August)
Air temperatures range from 0-15 degrees celcius. The days are mostly sunny with light wind. Nights can be cold, so bring jumpers, sweaters and a warm jacket.

SPRING (September to November)
Air temperatures increase to 5C - 20C. Again the days are often sunny. The wind speed increases slightly.

SUMMER (December to February)
Temperatures range from 10C to 30C. Evenings are cool and the daytime temperatures are cooled by light breezes.

AUTUMN (March - May)
Temperatures slowly decrease with the days calm and sunny.
